“ Whenever we feel like having south indian food, Uttar Dakshin has been our go to place. It’s a little busy after 8:30-8:45pm so you might have to wait a while before you get a table but the wait is well worth it. In our most recent visit we had Butter Masala Dosa, Mysore masala dosa, Chola Bhatura, Pineapple shira and Rasmalai. Everything was just as we expected, tasty. Portion size is big enough for an average person. The name might suggest that the place serves limited menu but the menu includes Chinese, Italian and other popular cuisines as well, so they have something for everyone. Staff is curious and the table service is really fast as well (depends on how full the restaurant is). There’s plenty of parking space in front of the restaurant as well as in their basement as well. ”

“ I visited Uttar Dakshin recently and we started our meal with their Cold Coffee, which was really refreshing and a great way to begin. Next, we ordered the Medu Vada, it tasted excellent and the accompanying sambar and chutney were equally delicious. For mains, we tried three different dosas: the Bangalore Butter Dosa, Ghee Dosa, and Masala Dosa. All of them were packed with flavor and came in generous portions. We also had the Veg Crispy, which turned out to be very tasty and well-prepared. The only downside was the long wait time, we had to wait almost an hour before getting a seat, which was quite disappointing. Overall, though, the food was definitely worth trying, and once seated, the experience was enjoyable. ”
“ I went ( 25th June ) here with my friend, and we were a little confused about what to order. One of the kind service staff helped us out and suggested their paneer of the day. There was also a very polite and communicative uncle who guided us to have 2-2 rotis with a 1mix bucket of rice and dal ( mix ). We followed their suggestions, and the food turned out to be amazing. The bill was around ₹450 for both of us, and we even gave a ₹50 tip . We were feeling very full and satisfied — it was a wonderful experience overall. The place gets a bit busy on weekends, but since we went on a weekday, we got seats instantly. The staff is really supportive and polite. The average cost per person would be around ₹200–300, so students can definitely try it out. ”
